Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks necessary for the operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role is physically demanding and requires experience with complex maintenance processes and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion issues.
• Interpret and navigate ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for equipment fault troubleshooting.
• Modify and diagnose ABB robots (Models: M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700).
• Install, move, and align new/existing equipment as needed.
• Operate machine shop equipment and perform gas and electric welding.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks on plant equipment.
• Maintain work area and complete machine repair records.

Required Skills

• Proficient in navigating and interpreting ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software.
• Experience with ABB robots (models specified above).
• Skills in gas and electric welding.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and combustion issues.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in areas including Allen Bradley, hydraulics, robotics, and welding.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting die casting machine cells using PLC’s, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.

Education

• Technical/vocational education or some college coursework in relevant subjects.

Additional Information

• Direct hire opportunity with a pay rate up to $37.00/hr.
• Sign-on bonus available upon hire, contingent on signing a one-year promissory note.
