Overview: We are hiring an experienced Accountant with strong expertise in QuickBooks, particularly the Inventory module, to manage core accounting functions for a growing small business. This role is ideal for a self-sufficient professional who can own AP, AR, and inventory accounting with precision and accountability.

You will ensure the books are accurate, current, and compliant—keeping inventory, payables, and receivables perfectly aligned with real business activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks (including Inventory)
  • Track inventory movement, costs, and adjustments
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts
  • Prepare monthly financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Manage invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
  • Support budgeting and basic financial analysis
  • Keep records audit-ready and well organized

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of accounting experience in a small business environment
  • Advanced QuickBooks skills, including the Inventory module
  • Hands-on AP/AR ownership
  • Strong grasp of inventory accounting
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently

Nice to Have

  • Experience in retail, manufacturing, or distribution
  • Sales tax and payroll knowledge
