Raizan Solutions LLC is hiring for our client, and we do not charge candidates. This is a full-time onsite position offering an exciting opportunity to work in the structural design of process plants.
Responsibilities:
- Design steel cold box structures, pipe racks, and other structural elements for process plants.
- Produce plan, section, and elevation drawings with the necessary details for vendor bid packages and fabrication drawings.
- Perform stress analysis on structures to ensure designs are validated.
- Develop shipping and lifting requirements for equipment ranging from 5 to 500 metric tons.
- Make technical recommendations and review vendor drawings and specifications.
- Follow established AISC standards.
- Participate in departmental training programs and on-line training.
- Ensure compliance with project schedule and budgetary requirements.
- Work efficiently as part of a team, exhibiting leadership and communication skills.
- Resolve technical project issues, review, and make quality recommendations.
Education and/or Experience:
- Degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized technical institute is required.
- Proficiency in CADWorx 3D and AutoCAD or BricsCAD design software is required.
- Experience with cryogenic piping, cold boxes, and the Industrial Gases Industry is a plus.
- Experience with Robot, Tekla, and/or other structural design software is preferred.
- Familiarity with Hilti design software and RAM Connection software.
- Understanding of pipe stress and pipe supports.
- Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment across multiple disciplines.
- A PE license is a plus.
