Senior Mechanical Engineer @Urbana, IL

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
• Design HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings, incorporating energy-efficient solutions and compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Develop plumbing and fire protection systems for various applications, including design, layout, and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into overall building designs.
• Perform load calculations, sizing, and selection of equipment for power generation and refrigeration systems.
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD software for drafting, modeling, and creating detailed mechanical drawings.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for proposed mechanical systems and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations and quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software for 2D and 3D modeling.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to mechanical systems design.
• Experience in power generation, refrigeration, or process design is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks efficiently.
