Mechanical Engineer PE / PM – HVAC / Plumbing

Job Description:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer PE / PM with expertise in HVAC and/or plumbing design to join our growing team. The role involves a mix of design and project management responsibilities, catering to a variety of building types such as commercial offices, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, and multifamily residences.

Responsibilities:

• Design & Documentation: Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files, along with construction documents, to support MEP engineering needs, particularly in HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
• Project Management: Oversee both small and large projects, establish schedules, assign resources, monitor performance, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Documentation & Organization: Maintain and organize all mechanical engineering-related documents and schedules, along with general project documentation.
• Field Support: Review mechanical design submittals and provide on-site support to address any issues, conflicts, or questions that may arise.
• Client Interaction: Generate and present project status updates to various internal and external audiences, and work towards developing new business relationships with both existing and new clients.

Must Have:

• Professional Engineer License: Mechanical Engineer with a current PE license.
• Design Experience: HVAC and/or plumbing design experience for commercial offices, multifamily residences, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare facilities, etc.
  • Note: HVAC/Plumbing design experience for heavy industrial facilities (e.g., oil & gas refineries, chemical plants) is not relevant.
• Citizenship: Must be a US citizen, Green Card holder, or holder of a TN visa.
• Revit Proficiency: Revit is the primary CAD system required for this role.
• AutoCAD Skills

Nice to Have:

• Project Management Experience: Previous experience in managing engineering projects is highly desirable.
• Revit Expertise: Advanced skills in Revit; experience with AutoCAD is less desirable.
• HVAC Modeling Programs: Familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster is a significant plus.
