The Electrical Engineer will support Hybrid powerpack development and vehicle integration programs at RENK America. It will also support the design and development of a Propulsion Power Controller (PPC) for the transmission, drive by wire and hybrid controls including motor and inverter controls. The Electrical Engineer will be the lead electrical engineer for the hybrid power-pack. Other responsibilities will include customer interfacing, technical approach & execution, budgeting, and scheduling.

Essential Functions:
● Serve as the primary customer interface for assigned program(s).
● Support hybrid powerpack electrical requirements capture and decomposition into sub-systems and
components requirements in order to meet customer requirements.
● Support the hybrid powerpack electrical architecture with emphasis on high voltage power management,
power conversion and power regulation, including isolation, shielding, routing, connectors, etc.
● Perform detailed studies and design of the electric and/or hybrid powertrain system (including the physical,
electrical, and controls architecture & integration aspects) with emphasis on safety, quality, and cost. Lead
and/or participate in system, subsystem and/or vehicle level DFMEA. Develop design guidelines for hybrid
powerpacks.
● Support the design and release of hybrid powerpack power electronics, generator, gearbox, charging
system and thermal management system. Support dynamometer and vehicle level testing.
● Review and approve detailed drawings for technical content.
● Develop, review and approve test plans and test reports to validate new designs.
● Lead the preparation and delivery of internal and external engineering reports & presentations.
● Perform / assess failure investigations.
