Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join a close-knit team focused on power system analysis and electrical safety compliance. This role involves electrical design, arc flash studies, project management, and technical support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of customer electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Arc Flash Analysis:
Perform and oversee short circuit calculations, medium and low-voltage coordination evaluations, and arc flash studies in compliance with NFPA, IEEE 1584, and other industry standards.
Optimize protective relay and breaker settings for safety and performance.
Conduct on-site data collection activities when needed.
✅ Safety Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
✅ Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare engineering documents (drawings, sketches, calculations, evaluations, reports) that comply with industry regulations and support client engineering needs.
Must Have:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
✔ Minimum of 2+ years of experience in power system studies.
✔ Proficiency in electrical modeling software (SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power).
✔ Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584).
✔ Hands-on experience performing arc flash studies, short circuit calculations, and medium/low-voltage coordination evaluations.
✔ Ability to prepare and interpret engineering documents (e.g., drawings, calculations, evaluations).
✔ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
✔ Willingness to travel 10%-20% (trip durations may vary from a few days to a few weeks).
Nice to Have:
✔ Experience in electrical engineering for data centers or industrial facilities.
✔ Familiarity with protective relay programming and power distribution system design.
✔ Project management experience in electrical design and system upgrades.
