Raizan Solutions LLC is hiring for our client, and we do not charge candidates. This opportunity is for an Automation Engineer to join a leading aluminum production facility, providing engineering support for automated inspection systems.
Job Description:
As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting, designing, and maintaining automated inspection devices such as Surface Quality Monitoring (SQM) systems and Marker systems. You will lead the development and optimization of these systems across the Davenport facility and satellite locations, ensuring they function effectively to deliver business results. Additionally, you will play a key role in incorporating SMART Manufacturing principles to drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support for Surface Quality Monitoring (SQM) and Marker systems.
- Design, purchase, install, and maintain automated inspection devices.
- Identify opportunities to add business value through automation inspection systems.
- Ensure optimal functionality of installed systems to achieve business objectives.
- Incorporate SMART Manufacturing tools to improve processes, data collection, and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining electromechanical or inspection systems (required).
- PLC experience or experience with vision systems (required).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee (ITAR compliance).
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with optical scanning or vision systems.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Smart Manufacturing.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including budget and scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills across multiple levels, including shop floor and plant leadership.
- Ability to navigate and succeed in a matrix organization.
