About the Role
Fortson Dentistry is seeking a Dental Office Manager / Treatment Coordinator for our West Bloomfield office — a confident, experienced leader who can guide the team, oversee daily operations, and provide exceptional patient care coordination.
In this dual-capacity role, you’ll serve as both a strategic operations lead and a treatment coordinator, ensuring the clinical and administrative sides of the office work seamlessly together. You’ll handle team management, patient relations, and treatment presentations — functioning as the cornerstone of the practice’s daily success.
Key Responsibilities
◆ Present and explain treatment plans to patients with clarity, empathy, and professionalism
◆ Demonstrate strong knowledge of dental procedures, particularly surgical and restorative treatments
◆ Provide a high level of patient care, building trust and confidence with every interaction
◆ Oversee and coordinate all office operations — scheduling, billing, HR, compliance, and reporting
◆ Lead, coach, and manage front office, clinical, and support staff, fostering accountability and collaboration
◆ Utilize patient management software (Dentrix or Open Dental preferred) for scheduling, treatment coordination, and records management
◆ Collaborate closely with Dr. Fortson and clinical staff to maintain seamless communication and workflow
◆ Monitor KPIs, production goals, and financial performance while ensuring the highest patient satisfaction standards
Location & Schedule
Location: West Bloomfield, Michigan
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
◆ Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a dental office management or treatment coordination role
◆ Strong leadership and staff supervision experience with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
◆ In-depth understanding of insurance billing, treatment planning, and scheduling systems
◆ Excellent communication and presentation skills — professional, compassionate, and persuasive
◆ Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix or Open Dental preferred)
◆ Ability to balance administrative duties with patient-facing responsibilities effectively
